James Walsh "conquers the world"

On Sunday James Walsh, one of my athletes, destroyed the Xterra World Championship course and is now a World Champion! Yeah, you heard that right, the best in the world! James set some lofty goals, busted his ass all year, and on Sunday made his dreams a reality. He is one of the hardest working athletes I know and I couldn't be happier for him. Great job James! Enjoy that off-season as the Xterra World Champion.

Jennifer Eckerman finishes her first triathlon (and gets on the podium!)

-Jennifer and her husband Shane

One of my athletes, Jennifer Eckerman, finished her first triathlon (Tinley's Adventures) and got on the podium! Great job Jennifer!
She is balancing family, work and training, which makes this achievement so incredible. She is so excited about the sport and is fixing to compete in her next tri at the beginning of November. I can't wait to see what she does in that event....

James Walsh....

James, one of my athletes, just wrapped up Xterra Nationals and is now the 2nd fastest 30-34 Xterra athlete in the country and the 8th fastest Xterra amateur in the country...nice job James! He pulled this result off despite some really challenging conditions up in Lake Tahoe!
Now, he heads to Maui for the Xterra World Championships where his goal "is to conquor the world!" I have no doubt James will destroy the course in Maui and be crowned the fastest amateur in the world. Follow his journey b/c it is going to be a good one! The course in Maui was built for him and, quite frankly, there isn't an amateur in the world (not to mention a lot of the pros) that can run with him, especially on this brutal run course.

Athlete highlight...

James Walsh is chasing some big goals and I am certain he will achieve them! James has set out to become the 2008 Xterra Amateur National Champion and Xterra Amateur World Champion...no doubt lofty goals but through his focus, dedication, hard work and perseverance I really think he will stand on top of that podium at both races. We put together a training plan that pushes him mentally and physically but also allows for enough rest so that he can really go for it during his hard session.
Look for James to take top honors in a couple weeks at Nationals in Lake Tahoe and, in 5 weeks, look for him to absolutely crush the run and become the fastest Xterra amateur in the world!

Cheers,
Trevor
